The first wealth is health" -Ralph Waldo Emerson

Since the topic today is all about health, I'm going to try to keep this post fairly short and get to bed at a good time. Our second student orientation starts tomorrow and I want to be at my best when meeting the parents. So when it comes to living healthy, by best advice is to try to see the world as a challenge and maybe even a game. I remember playing the Sims as a kid and once you did a certain activity enough times, you could level up with various experience points. The same can be held true when it comes to life. Use your experience to level up your body as well as your knowledge and skills of the world around you.
These are all ideas that you've heard before and the last thing I would want to do is to waste your time, so I'm going to try to fly through these. Walk everywhere! If walking is an option and it doesn't take you two hours for you to get to a location take the time to walk to your location. Chances are you will run into my friends, improve your relationships, and of course be healthier with your body. This challenge to be health can continue with eating good foods, having a support buddy to work out with, or simply standing instead of laying down.
One of the big notes I would also like to bring to light is to mention that healthy doesn't necessarily mean thin. Although there are some people who are overweight and it might be beneficial for them to lose a little weight, please please please consult someone who has the authority to give you that kind of advice. Almost always this is a doctor of some type. So many younger generations attempt to get their body mass to look like an unrealistic portrayal in the media and can sometimes even develop an unhealthy eating disorder. If you aren't sure where you stand on a certain issue, always ask someone you trust. Hopefully they are looking out for your best well-being and want to see you succeed.
Question Time: In addition to some of the quick ideas mentioned above, what do you do in order to stay healthy? Running, trying a new sport, going to counseling, these are all great ideas!
About the video: I mentioned Laci Green before when I showed a DNews clip, but I thought it might be good to further introduce her kind of videos. I've primarily talked about health when it comes to your own body, but staying healthy is also important when mentioning a significant other. Laci Green is a very popular YouTube personality who has gained popularity when discussing education on sexual material. When it comes to having a healthy relationship, never forget the benefits and power of consent! Goodnight all :)
