Hello world! For those of you who are new, welcome to the Luminstruct blog! I am currently working on a "365 Word Project" where everyday I will be posting a reflection on a word and today's word is "Laughter".
I could easily use this post to make jokes and talk about humor, but a bigger topic should be mentioned today. I would not have the right to make jokes or even create a page like this if it hadn't been for our soldiers and heroes who lost their lives protecting us, so this post is dedicated to them.
With it being Memorial day, it is the time to take a second and really respect the dedication and sacrificed that so many men and women faced. They risked their lives so that I could be free and safe. I have a lot of admiration for these kind of people. Many of my friends have followed this calling in life as well as many of my ancestors. I am amazed by their bravery and could not even comprehend what it would be like to take on this kind of service to our country.
I could end with a video of Mariah Carey's song "Hero", but instead I want to end this post in silence. For the next five minutes, take some time to think about the many who lost their lives so that you could live yours. We are very blessed to have these people in our nation's history.
