Hello world! For those of you who are new, welcome to the Luminstruct blog! I am currently working on a "365 Word Project" where everyday I will be posting a reflection on a word and today's word is "Choose".
So today's post is going to be a bit shorter than normal. It is a bit late for the early start I have planned for tomorrow, so I best be off to bed soon. Today's topic is "choose". When it comes to choosing, often it is not as simple as what is right and what is wrong. Because of this, I've adopted the wise words of professor Dumbledore, "Soon we must all face the choice between what is right, and what is easy."
I had to make a decision like this earlier today. Without going into too much detail on the matter, I had to make a swift choice about an organization that I advise and although it was not a popular choice, I still believe it was the right choice. Too often we are faced by these chances and many times we don't realize the opportunity until the decision has long gone. Looking back, I can still see some of the decisions I have made where I had to choose between the right path and the easy path. I'm not going to lie, there are times I have chosen the easy path and that is all just a part of life. The real importance is what you do with those decisions and possibly how you fix some "easy path" decisions later in life. Sometimes it is much easier to make the more difficult right decision in the first place than taking the easy path and then fixing your mistakes later down the road. Just some food for thought!
