Anything is possible as long as you put your heart into it

Being a bit more rested this time around, I am proud to announce that I will be graduating tomorrow! As a special event for next fall, Western's residential living is creating a mural full of advice for incoming students. So far there have been many different pieces of advice: get to know your professors, learn the names of the buildings, lay down ground rules with your roommate at the beginning of the year, etc. All of them are amazing blocks of knowledge and it got me thinking what I would want to write to an incoming student.
Although it is kind of vague, I would want them to know that: anything is possible as long as you put your heart into it. Looking back over my six years at college, I have been very fortunate with where my life has gone. There have been many twists and turns and sometimes I haven't known where I was going, but it all worked out in the end. One of the big pieces that has stuck out to me is the fact that the projects I have put my heart into have always been my most successful accomplishments.
When you are invested on a deeper level, you are more likely to fight for what you desire, take some risks and put your whole self into the project. There have been multiple projects other friends have done which I respect very much and yet I know I could never get as much accomplished as they could and in return, there are some projects (including this website) that others could not accomplish because they just don't care as much. Passion is in many cases an overlooked quality when it comes to work performance, but I can guarantee there is always a spark of passion and heart behind any great person or any great work.
About the video: Below I have attached a video from Devin Graham, a very popular YouTube user who films remarkable outings and takes beautiful pictures. After watching this video, I gained such a better respect for all that he does and was inspired to go out into the world and find that special thing that I have a passion for. I hope this video drives you to find that special something just as much as it helped me.
