Everyone you will ever meet knows something you don't."- Bill Nye

I'm sure many of you have heard the saying, "You learn something new everyday." Well I'm going to twist this post a tad and place the challenge at the beginning of my reflection. How do you challenge yourself to learn something new each day and what have you learned today?
Today I had the joy of figuring out my new car insurance policy and was quickly reminded that I don't know nearly as much in this world as I would like. As seen above, Bill Nye once said, "Everyone you will ever meet knows something you don't". Upon our journey to discover more in this world and learn something new each day, take some time to learn from others around you. I would have been very lost if it had not been for my agent and parents helping me through the process and although I still would not consider myself an expect on the insurance, I know enough to get me through the day.
When people create bucket lists and aim to learn something new each day, I've often found that they quickly come up short after a few weeks of trying to accomplish this feat. Maybe it is the curse of new years resolutions, but I believe it is because many people take for granted learning the simple things in life. That was one challenge that I gave myself during this 365 blog was to challenge my own thinking and possibly just learn a little more about myself as I make this journey through the 365 posts. Of course there are tasks and challenges I would like to learn from that I would do for the first time such as go kayaking, visiting far away locations, or owning a pet with more of a personality than my fish, but If I was to keep going at 100 miles per hour running through these different tasks, they wouldn't be nearly as special than if I had worked up to them in slower steps. There are always people who buy into their emotions and give themselves what they want without a moment's notice, but I think one of the big take aways from achieving your goal is being able to look back and see the journey you had made in order to reach that certain spot. Moral of the post: always try to learn something new each day from others around you, but also don't forget to enjoy the tiny steps that it took to get to a big accomplishment.
About the video: Just in case you hadn't learned something new yet today, here is a video by John Green about one of the biggest teachers I ever had on the television. My sister recently sent me this video and I learned so many interesting facts that I hadn't known before. Hopefully you might learn something as well! Goodnight neighbor :)
