Imagination will often carry us to worlds that never were. But without it we go nowhere."
Today has been one of those days where everything I have done is work (in the office or in the apartment) and I'm sleepy (get the picture? haha). It is about 2am now and I just finished moving in about 5 boxes of my stuff into my new apartment. Typically moving in could easily be done in a couple of days, but with me doing this after I'm done with my work, my free time is a little more limited and it might take a bit longer to get everything where it needs to be. I guess what I'm trying to say is that I'm very tired and I'm not guaranteeing this post to be life-changing or too long ;)
When considering the word "nowhere" I remember an old church retreat I went to in high school. The premise of the retreat was to look at things in a different way. When someone says "God is nowhere", you should look at it as if they are saying "God is Now-Here". It was kind of a corny idea, but would actually be pretty beneficial to consider when making changes to an organization or department (like I'm doing now). Where some see a school set in their ways and unable to change, I try to see the potential of change and my fellow educators who strive to develop the same goals as I do. Plain and simple it is an attitude thing. There should be no reason to think that something is impossible to do until you at least give it a go and see for yourself. You might actually be surprised!
Question Time: When do you typically go to bed? 2am is a bit later than I normally stay up, but I have a feeling working in a residence hall and being the director will create very odd sleeping patterns. Maybe it was a good thing I went with the super comfy mattress, going to need some good night's sleep!
About the video: I'm not going to lie, I'm taking the easy way out on this video. Devin Supertrap (I have posted some of his videos before) released a new video today and I'm interested to see what your impression is on it. Similar to the nowhere/now here, I can imagine some people would see this as super fun whereas others would see this as super dangerous!
