The only way to do great work is to love what you do." -Steve Jobs

It is very rare for a sequel to be just as good, if not better, than the original movie, but Monster's University stole the show when I saw it for the first time. I loved seeing the characters Mike and Sulley develop during their college years and become the legends they were in Monsters Inc. One of my favorite scenes is actually at the very end of the movie where it shows the two working together in order to climb the ladder of the Monster's Inc. business. Recently I've noticed more and more stories try to include (or primarily focus on) the origin of a character before they became what made them famous. There is even a TV show coming out on FOX which where the origin story of Batman and his rivals take form through the eyes of the young commissioner Gordon. While these characters raise to power and finally come to realize their sense of purpose in this world, you really see their true passion in the process.
Today was a very monumental day for me because I was able to bring together all of my excitement and put some of my passion into action. After talking to a YouTube friend of mine about the proper equipment I needed to created videos, I have purchased almost all of the tools I will need to begin creating a video series for this website! My parents kept asking me what got me so riled up, but it was just the huge amounts of excitement that has been building up over the past year that led me to this all-smile exterior. Although I am not sure how quickly the filming process will take since I'm learning a brand new skill and I want to get it right, I am hoping to release the first few episodes of my series before the end of summer break in August! If all goes to plan, I should have the first few done sooner than that, but working in reslife, you quickly learn how to put some buffers in, just in case things don't go to plan.
Just like Mike Wazowski seeing the scream floor for the first time and being on the edge of greatness, I too am beyond words on how excited I am. These next few months are going to be some of the most thrilling months of change, and I feel like I'm ready to take on the world. If only more people took their jobs on with this amount of passion. Makes you think :)
About the video: I ended up changing the selected video at the last minute, but I was just too ecstatic to go through this post without including this video. I have included a video from Devin Graham before about fighting for your passions and doing what makes you happy. A few days ago, he posted this video, and I think he has finally made it to where he wants to be. Although it is an advertisement for the video game 'Watch Dogs', it is truly a masterpiece. It includes his love for story telling, beautiful cinematography, as well as some amazing stunts. After watching this video, I recommend you watch the behind the scenes corresponding video and just take a minute to appreciate Devin's passion when he is talking about the project. Just goes to show, if you work hard at what you do, you will get amazing results!
