"The way I see it, if you want the rainbow, you gotta put up with the rain." Dolly Parton
Hello world! If you are new, welcome to the Luminstruct blog! My name is Mark and I am currently working on a "365-Word Project" by posting reflections on various words every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday. Today's word is "Rainbow".The other day we went on a nature hike. One of the joys of being in the North Georgia area is the fact that there is always plenty of beautiful locations to visit. About half-way though our trip, we came across a large waterfall and decided to stop and have a picnic. While enjoying a delicious PB&J, I took in my surroundings. The trees surrounding us where a brilliant emerald green, there was not a cloud in the sky and a faint breeze kept us cool in the afternoon heat. My attention was then directed toward the waterfall. The crashing of white water was loud and powerful as it slammed into the rocks below. It was fun trying to imagine a single droplet of water as it curved down the jagged rocks in a chaotic way. |
The point to my story is the fact that there will be times when you are swept away with the wind, taken away from the comfort of your tree branch. There will be times when you have to face conflict and must keep your head afloat. If you are willing to endure the pain and chaos and keep getting back up, you will eventually reach a better place and rejoin your friends who took a similar plunge. Even when times get tough, remember that you are not alone and there have been many who can relate to your situation. If you shine a light at any storm, you can find a rainbow within. Remember to stay positive when things get tough, shed some rays of positivity in the direction of your fears and a spectrum of hope will help show you the path to make your way through the troubled waters.
Question time: What tries have you overcome recently?
